Software

In addition to the people directly involved in running this site, there are many people all over the internet who have made it possible by releasing free software that they themselves took many hours to write. This site is a loss-making venture, and without free software it would not have been possible to acheive such a site on a shoestring budget.

Almost every part of the software that runs this site is free, from the OS to the web server software, the languages that run upon that, and the software that uses those. We salute the Open Source movement in general, but in particular we would like to thank the following projects and their communities for their software, their help and advice in creating this website:
